'Tis the Season

Enhance your holidays by participating in local area happenings!

Start by strolling through the Christmas Tree Garden at the American Tobacco Campus. Trees are illuminated from 5:30 pm-11:00 pm nightly, December 6th through 30th.

Then, plan on joining the fun at Carboro's Lanza's Cafe for their Holiday Extravaganza. Come out December 17th, 1:00 pm-6:15 pm for a special event that includes meeting Santa and Frosty the Snowman, as well as a showing of The Polar Express! Please bring a food and/or toy donation (per child) to support Porch and the Orange County Dept of Social Services Foster Care Program.

Chapel Hill's Carolina Inn will host their Holiday Market and Bier Garten December 18th, 12:00 pm-4:00 pm where you can shop for hand-crafted gifts as well as enjoy a lineup of craft beers, mulled wine, and signature cocktails.

Finally, mark the start of the winter season with the Eno River Farmers' Market Winter Solstice Lantern Walk! Planned for December 21st at 5:45 pm, bring a handmade lantern to light up the night and guide the way along the walk.
